If you do not already have access to the internet or if your current internet service provision does not meet your business requirements,then we can upgrade your service. Typically this means:
- You already have a BT fixed line installed.
- Upload speeds greater than 448k (important for sending documents / emails out to other recipients).
- Contention ratio less than 1:20 (important as this reduces the number of people who share your connection to the exchange and means the internet is “faster”at peak times).
- A static IP address. Although the server software can notify Name Servers where it is on the internet,should you have a dynamic IP address;having a fixed IP is important for business contingency reasons. It helps connect remote services and quickly diagnose connection issues.

We can provide domain hosting and web hosting:
- Domain Hosting. This acts as a gateway through which all internet traffic is routed. This includes services such as FTP,email and HTTP (internet browser) traffic.
- Remote hosting of your website. Should your website have a heavy traffic (more than 15 concurrent users at any one time) or have large media files to download / upload,then it is it better that the website be hosted externally. We can provide hosting for this. - Email Security. The tools we use for this are Mail backup and SMTP relay. Mail backup automatically stores received email on your behalf should the connection between your server and the internet go down. Once the service is back up again,the email is sent automatically. In addition,it is likely that some users will be using a home broadband connection to connect to the internet. SMTP relay provides an authenticated postbox on the internet to distribute email from,which reduces the risk of your email being treated as spam.
