This actually includes three parts –with ongoing support making the third portion.
Installation
Part of our service offering means that an engineer will visit and install the appliance at your place of work,make sure the appliance is working and connected to the internet. There are certain pre-requisites:
- The domain name you have chosen has been registered and is hosted by us. This helps us maintain your connection to the S-BoT and the internet.
- You have ordered our Business Broadband service or at your place of work,you have at least a working BT line,existing internet connection and a router with a spare ethernet port. All email,webmail,FTP and VPN traffic will be routed to the S-BoT and our engineers will configure this.
- S-BoT1 Mobile. Please note a BT line is not required. A Mobile 3G connection will be provided.
- S-BoT2. Please note that our Business Broadband connection is required with S-BoT2.
- You and your staff are available to be trained on the same day as installation. Rebookings will incur an additional fee.
Once the S-BoT is installed,Lotus Notes and Lotus Symphony is installed on each user’s PC,with connection settings for remote working,printers and PDAs,if necessary. This means that each user will have a new inbox,email account etc.. Migration of previous emails,contacts or calendar appointments,use of Outlook or other email client will come under the migration set up service.
Training
Once S-BoT is installed and working for each user in your place of work,then training can be given. This is in two parts:
- A nominated person who will do basic management on the appliance –such things as adding / deleting users,password management,back ups etc.
- Each user for use on Symphony / Notes / Webmail. Such things as file share,remote working,email archiving,password management and a basic show and tell in downloading / sending email,using the Documents,Spreadsheets and Presentations.
On-going Support
We know that once the dust has settled,additional questions will come to mind or a simple issue may stop work,so part of the package will also include:
- 30 Day technical freephone support,after which it will revert to a premium rate number.
- Access to a discussion forum and knowledge base.
- Next day email support.
- Engineer visits charged at a standard hourly rate,bookings based on availability.
